The Spincare Record Cleaning Machine (RCM) is a serious step up from cloth and spray cleaning. It cleans both sides of a record simultaneously using two supersoft velvet brushes in a basin of cleaning solution - removing embedded dirt, oils and debris that manual methods leave behind. If you have never machine-cleaned your records, the difference in playback quality can be significant.
Setting up takes under five minutes. Click the rollers and velvet brushes into place, fill the basin to the marked line with distilled or deionised water, add the supplied cleaning solution, and you are ready. Rotate each record three turns one way, then three the other. Remove it, wipe in a clockwise direction with one of the included microfibre cloths, and place it on the drying rack. The rack holds up to 10 records at a time.
The machine is designed for batch sessions of 25–50 records. Once finished, pour the used solution away - and the amount of debris in the water is a reliable indicator of how much contamination has been removed from your collection.
All accessories store inside the basin when not in use. The machine is compatible with 7", 10" and 12" vinyl. Distilled or deionised water is required but not included - it is available from most supermarkets and hardware shops.
